The next step...

Here's the progress shot on the painting I posted last Thursday. Getting there. Much to do on the forest floor.
Gosh, it's been cold today. School buses were cancelled on account of severe cold weather. Brr. Hope wherever this finds you you're somewhere comfortable : )

Wow!(I just sat here and said that.) Amazing how this is developing. I didn't expect the green, and it's such a treat -- almost like a promise.
Woo Hoo!

XOXOXO Barbara

Ditto that WHOW!
Although your technique is not at all the same, I find these tree/forest paintings very "Wyeth"
like, Kim. In what you choose to paint, and your implied attitude.
The museum housing so much of each the Wyeth's art (N,C.m Andy, his 3 sisters, Jamie, and others of the "Brandywine School") is only about 40 minutes away from my home in PA.
If you are ever in this neck of the U.S., I will host you. And then there is The Barnes Foundation, 15 minutes away.
So much Art, not enough time.
